About MPS
The
Company at a Glance...
My
name is Scott
Morris and I've worked in the book printing industry since 1988. I
started Morris Printing Services in 2001. MPS
is a book manufacturing brokerage using established business
relationships to deliver fair pricing and fast delivery for perfect
bound, saddle stitched and case bound books.
Our customers are publishers, self-publishers, one time authors and numerous colleges
and universities. Even if your project is different than what you see
on these pages, please feel free to contact us, as we may be able to
help.
We've spent years cultivating relationships with folks just like you.
The common factor is very simple: a good product at a fair price. You
want something you'll be proud to sell or present to your friends,
family, students or colleagues. We understand that.
Our experience is in book printing. That's all we do. We know the "ins
and outs" to delivering what you need. Each book is really a custom
product and with all the variables involved before the book hits the
press, it's vital to have experience on your side.
You will benefit from using our service. We aren't locked into one
printer to produce our work so this ensures the most competitive price.
You reap the rewards of the volume of work we send to our vendors each
year. We can secure pricing and schedules that would be difficult
otherwise.
Think about it: we know which vendors in our fold will fit your product
the best. We match them with your project and use our resources to
secure the best deal for you. Plus, with our network of book pros you
have an added security of knowing your materials are going to be
perfect.

A Little
History...
I began my career
in the
book
printing industry in 1988 at Gilliland Printing. Gilliland was a family
owned business that was in operation for more than 50 years. Gilliland
was well respected in the industry and very innovative in their
approach to management, training, team-building and empowering their
associates. Gilliland originally specialized in college and university
course catalogs and later moved more toward working with small and
medium sized book publishers.
Gilliland Printing was sold in the late 1990s during a time of much
consolidation that was occurring in the printing industry. Sadly the
company no longer exists today.
I consider myself
very fortunate to have begun my book printing career with such a fine
company. It gave me the opportunity to work with, and learn from, a
very talented and knowledgeable group of people.
